Alone by the Forest

Summer cinema Kultovka at Panelka in Luleč runs from May to September, always on Tuesdays and sometimes on Wednesdays.

The film "Alone by the Forest" follows the married couple Oldřich and Věra Lavičkovi, who travel with their children Petřík and Zuzanka to a cottage belonging to their acquaintance, engineer Radim Zvon. Soon they set their sights on the cottage of Grandpa Komárek, who agrees to sell and in the meantime rents them one room. While Olda and the children enjoy their country stay and befriend the kind-hearted grandfather, Věra grows increasingly impatient and pressures her husband to speed up the sale. On the weekend, Olda's friend, doctor Houdek, arrives and examines the grandfather, discovering he is in perfect health — and when he also meets the grandfather's very elderly father, hopes for a quick purchase fade away. In winter, the grandfather does fall ill and Houdek sends him to the hospital. However, when the family arrives in the village with a notary to discuss the sale, they find the grandfather at home — healthy and lively.
