The Czech Philharmonic takes the stage in Prague at Alšovo nábřeží on 25 August 2026 under conductor Semyon Bychkov. The programme features Smetana's Má vlast and a concert performance by pianist Yunchan Lim, among the most prominent talents of his generation. The concert takes place in the Rudolfinum, the orchestra's historic home since its founding in 1894. This is one of two Czech dates on Bychkov's conducting tour.

About the venue: Czech Philharmonic

The Czech Philharmonic is the country's leading symphony orchestra, based at the Rudolfinum on Alšovo nábřeží in Prague. It was founded in 1894 and gave its first concert on 4 January 1896, conducted by Antonín Dvořák. The orchestra is a state-funded institution under the Ministry of Culture, currently led by chief conductor Semyon Bychkov; Jakub Hrůša takes over from the 2028/2029 season.

About: Yunchan Lim

Yunchan Lim is a South Korean pianist born in 2001. In 2022 he became the youngest winner in the history of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. He is known for his command of the Romantic repertoire, and his recording of Liszt's Transcendental Études drew wide international attention.
