Love in Nature
Sládečkovo vlastivědné muzeum v Kladně, Kladno
A traveling exhibition titled "Love in Nature: A Guide to the Intimate Lives of Animals" presents the world of animal sexuality, courtship, sexual dimorphism, and reproduction in an open, scientific, and playful manner. The project was created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum in Olomouc, with contributions from the National Museum and Prague Zoo. The exhibition explores animal biology, courtship behavior, sexual dimorphism, mating, and the fundamental question of what sex is actually for. Visitors can find parallels to human sexual behavior among the panels. The exhibition features interactive elements, terrariums, and audiovisual stations. Explicit exhibits and sensitive moments from the animal world are placed in a separate room, making the exhibition suitable for the youngest visitors and families with children. Concurrently, the exhibition "Behind the Curtain" runs for visitors aged 16 and older, focusing on intimacy in Czech society during the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition runs from March 18 to August 23, 2026.
