Treasures of Our Nature at the Dr. Bohuslav Horák Museum in Rokycany

The exhibition "Treasures of Our Nature" is on display at the Dr. Bohuslav Horák Museum in Rokycany from April 17 to August 30, 2026. The core of the exhibition features unique photographs by Vlastimil Procházka, a native of Rokycany and nature enthusiast, whose images capture not only the aesthetic beauty of animals but also their unexpected behaviour and complex survival strategies. The exhibition explores the world of vertebrates and invertebrates encountered in the Czech landscape, though rarely seen in such close detail. The photographic section is complemented by taxidermied specimens from the museum's own collections and from the collections of the National Museum in Prague. The exhibition is suitable for family outings and school groups. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 8:00 to 16:00 (lunch break 12:00–12:30); Monday is closed.
