Children's Tours at Děčín Castle

Děčín Castle offers several children's tour programmes tailored to different age groups. The "In Search of the Castle Children's Secret" tour is designed for families with children – a countess searches for a lost seal needed to mark invitations to a castle ball, introducing young visitors to ball preparations, clothing, dancing, and dining etiquette. Children try out many activities themselves. This tour is a certified regional experience and due to limited capacity (max. 12 children + 24 adults per tour), advance booking is recommended. Throughout the year, the classic tours include the "Colouring the Castle" activity – children purchase a booklet at the ticket office (55 CZK) and after the tour complete and draw information from the exhibition. From April to October, the castle gardens feature the "Little Adventurer's Path": children receive a worksheet at the ticket office and follow a map (40 CZK) to discover interesting spots in the grounds. The game is suitable for families and school groups (grades 3–9). For schools, the castle also offers a costumed tour "Let's Play Castle" (year-round by booking, except December), where a guide in period costume tells the story of the count's family life in a fairy-tale style.
