Farmers Market at Zelňák in Brno 2026

The farmers market at Zelný trh (Zelňák) is a unique open-air marketplace in the heart of Brno's historic centre. The sales season runs from 1 January through the end of October, when fruit and vegetable stalls give way to Christmas markets. The market is open Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 18:00, Saturday from 6:00 to 14:00, and closed on Sundays. The market has 130 trading spaces. Customers will find fresh fruit, vegetables, seedlings, flowers, spices, honey, juices, jams, fermented vegetables, young wine, and original flower arrangements. The market is primarily run by local farmers and small-scale growers — around thirty different vendors operate throughout the season — their stalls are marked with green-striped signs. The market's capacity is supplemented by traders offering resold goods, whose tables are marked with orange-striped signs. In the upper part of the market is the Dobroty na Zelňáku food zone with beach loungers for relaxation, where mini-festivals and other cultural events also take place. The market is administered by the Brno-střed city district.
