The IMAGO exhibition project presents the work of three artists – Richard Nestler, Matouš Marek, and Marie Ladrová – all of whom studied in Milan Knížák's Intermedia Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. After years of independent practice in contemporary art, they reunite in a collective exhibition whose central theme is the subconscious, dreams, and imagination.

Richard Nestler works with charcoal drawing as a tool for immediate visual improvisation – creating image worlds that emerge directly from the stream of consciousness, recordings of mental landscapes and visual diaries of the subconscious. Matouš Marek, a clinical art therapist, focuses in his painting on inner emotional states, which he translates into images balancing on the edge of abstraction and psychological record. Marie Ladrová has long devoted herself to working with dreams, which she transforms into large-format watercolors and objects.

The exhibition runs from May 14 to August 20, 2026. The opening reception took place on Wednesday, May 13 at 6 p.m. The exhibition programme includes accompanying events: a Sunday family workshop (May 17 at 3 p.m.), a lecture "Beyond the Image" (May 28 at 6 p.m.), and an Open Studio (May 30 at 10 a.m.). Admission is by donation. The gallery is open Tuesday–Friday 12–8 p.m., Saturday–Sunday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., closed Mondays.
