Odyssey

Odysseus was the king of the Greek island of Ithaca who, according to legend and the poet Homer, invented the famous Trojan Horse - a trick that greatly contributed to Troy's fall and ended the exhausting siege of the city. After the battles end, he desires only one thing: to return home to his wife Penelope and son Telemachus.

Yet his bold deeds have angered the gods, who will do everything to complicate his journey home. This is why the word "odyssey" has become synonymous with a voyage full of obstacles that push the wanderer further from his goal rather than bringing him closer.

While Odysseus battles gods, giants, and the enchanting sorceress Circe, his wife Penelope faces suitors at home who seek both her hand and the entire kingdom of Ithaca.
