The international comics festival KOMA will take place October 8-11, 2026 at the Káznice venue in Brno. Four days will feature comics, music, and lectures. This year's theme is ABBREVIATIONS.

The visual identity for the edition was created by Tereza Bierská. Her work will be available as part of the KOMA merchandise - the selection includes collectible badges and new hoodies.

About the venue: Káznice

The Káznice is a large prison complex in Brno's Zábrdovice district, whose foundation stone was laid in 1772. It served as a jail from 1784 to 1956 - during the Nazi Protectorate and after 1948 it held and executed political prisoners. Since 2018, the Tripitaka association has been running a community and cultural centre here, with concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and site-specific projects. Regular events include the multigenre Ghettofest and the Faktor K festival. The city is gradually converting the complex into a creative centre with studios, workshops and a memorial space.
