Memory Day Brno 2026

Memory Day connects history with the present: lectures, podcast, improvisation show and interactive exhibition under one roof. Live music accompanies the entire evening, and refreshments are available in the Hned vedle café.

Programme:

- 15:00-19:00 - Workshop of mail art and the "Silent Heroism" exhibition. A creative workshop or guided tour of the "Silent Heroism" exhibition featuring 20th-century stories.

- 16:00 - Behind the Scenes of Sociology: live recording of the podcast by Klára Zajíčková and Kateřina Duspivová. Analysts Klára Zajíčková and Veronika Duspivová discuss intergenerational dialogue, values and ongoing social changes.

- 17:00 - Daniel Kortus: Climate Talk. A lecture on how today's climate change differs from past ones, why stable climate enabled human civilization to develop, and what challenges and opportunities the future brings.

- 18:30 - Anatol Svahilec: Unsolicited Advice. A mystification-improvisation show of a citizens' advice bureau that can advise even on things you've been doing quite right your whole life.
