Ceramic Workshop

The workshop takes place on 26 September 2026 from 9 to 12 o'clock at the Tupesy Ceramic Museum, house no. 118. Parking is available directly in front of the museum, or a short distance away near the primary school or the Jednota store.

Clay and ceramic tools will be provided. Feel free to bring your own natural materials for imprints - leaves, flowers, and similar items. You will work with clay that fires to a terracotta colour. Think in advance about what you want to create (a mug, candle holder, jewellery dish, bowl, etc.) so you don't spend time deliberating on site. Once finished, you'll decorate your pieces immediately with coloured engobes. If you prefer to approach the workshop as art therapy and simply work with clay without a specific goal, that's perfectly fine too.

The instructor will explain various clay-working techniques and will be available to help participants throughout the session - this is not copying from a template. After the workshop, your pieces will dry, be glazed and fired, and then you'll arrange a time to collect them. Wear clothes that can get dirty from clay and paint.
