Wednesday Art Studio for Children 6–8 Years
Národní galerie, Prague
Wednesday Art Studio for Children 6–8 Years is a regular art workshop run by the National Gallery Prague at the Veletržní Palace. It takes place every Wednesday from 15:30 to 17:00 from 4 February to 17 June 2026. Art activities are always inspired by original artworks displayed in the National Gallery's exhibitions and collections. Children have the opportunity to spend time with artworks, study them in detail, and through active creation gain experience across a full range of classical techniques (drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography) as well as multimedia approaches with opportunities for experimentation and free combination. The studio also offers basic orientation in the field of art transformations over time. Work takes place in a small group, which allows for individual attention to each child. The studios are led by experienced art educators. Registration takes place at the turn of January and February – priority is given to regular participants, and typically 2–3 places are released to the public. Registration requires a reservation and payment of the participation fee through GoOut; new participants are entitled to their first trial lesson free of charge. The price includes instruction and art materials. For more information, contact vzdelavani@ngprague.cz.
