60 Years of the Collective Music Catalogue of the National Library of the Czech Republic

Klementinum, Prague

A colloquium marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Collective Music Catalogue (SHK) of the National Library of the Czech Republic takes place at Klementinum in Prague. The Collective Music Catalogue is the central registry of musical sources held in Czech libraries, archives, museums, private collections, and church choirs. Its administration and development is managed by the Music Department of the National Library of the Czech Republic, which also coordinates the recording of historical musical sources within the international RISM database and serves as the headquarters of the secretariat of the Czech national group of IAML (International Association of Music Libraries). The anniversary celebration also includes an exhibition titled "60 Years of the Collective Music Catalogue". The event is intended for specialists in music librarianship, musicology, and related fields.
