HELLO INCOGNITO
Prague-based musician Hello Incognito, real name Oliver W. Quinn, is releasing his third studio album Prepare to die, cutie pie, which came out on May 1st on a new label connected to the Brno club Kafara. In contrast to his previous, more acoustic work, the new album features more straightforward arrangements and a rockier sound. The album features Antonín Mika (guitar), Julian Werl (drums, melodica, recording, mixing and mastering) and Vendula Pukyšová (bass); the album was created mainly in a studio in Brno over three intensive weekends.
The starting material consisted of demos built solely on vocals, guitar and omnichord, which the band members then freely developed. Thematically, Prepare to die, cutie pie explores everyday functioning - social uncertainty, pressure, FOMO and the search for balance between work and personal life, all with irony and humour. The title references a generic enemy phrase before combat in the game world and serves as a metaphor for songs that thematize personal confrontations with one's own fears.

TOMÁŠ NIESNER
Tomáš Niesner is a Czech guitarist and sound artist working at the intersection of fingerstyle guitar, ambient and experimental music. He emerged from the noise rock and DIY scene and has gradually developed his own style, combining acoustic guitar technique with elements of Czech folk, drone, field recordings and subtle electronics.
His album Bečvou - inspired by a hundred-kilometre pilgrimage along the polluted Bečva river - combines acoustic guitar, cimbalom, modular synthesizers and environmental recordings. The album made it into The Wire Magazine's Top 100 Albums of 2022 and received recognition from The Quietus. In 2025 he released adventus mmxxv, a minimalist reinterpretation of medieval Eastern European advent songs recorded on a four-track cassette recorder - a twenty-five-part cycle that transforms ancient liturgical melodies into spare guitar compositions.
Beyond his solo work, he collaborates with guitarist Jakub Šimanský - their joint albums
