Jiří Valoch's Birthday: Change of Game

The Moravian Gallery celebrates the birthday of Jiří Valoch, an artist and curator who donated his archive and part of his art collection to the gallery ten years ago. This gift significantly contributed to understanding the history of contemporary art as it developed in the Brno and international context of neo-avant-garde from the mid-1960s onwards.

As part of the celebration, a documentary "Minimonument Jiří Valoch" (directed by Michaela Fišer Rozbrojová and Josef Fišer) will be presented. In the permanent exhibition "Art is Here", curators Ondřej Chrobák and Jana Písaříková will give a lecture titled "Change of Game" - this time in the form of a game.

At the end, a surprise awaits the birthday celebrant and visitors: a collective artwork as a gift for everyone who lives with art.
