Prison Tour

The former regional prison on Cejlu is one of Brno's exceptional buildings with a history dating back to the late 18th century. Originally built outside the city walls, it gradually found itself in the heart of the city - and few realize that executions of political opponents of both Nazism and Communism took place here well into the 20th century.

Guided tours (60 minutes) explore the stories of prisoners and guards, and daily life behind prison walls in a broader political and social context.
