NOVINKA // Orpheus and Eurydice - Parent Friendly

The first parent-friendly performance of Orpheus and Eurydice by Divadlo nacucky! - childcare during the show is included in the ticket price.

Opera. Baroque. Electro. Love. Death. Cacti. Orpheus mourns the death of his beloved Eurydice and decides to free her from the underworld. With his singing he overcomes demons, but the gods set him one condition.

This is an original, performative adaptation of the classical myth that departs from traditional operatic form - a chamber theatrical work emerges at the intersection of musical theatre, performance, and experimental staging. The story becomes a reflection on death and the concept of hell not as a mythological place, but as a personal experience of pain, loss, guilt, or separation.

The production is directed by Jan Frič, a theatre director and educator who studied at DAMU in Prague, where he now teaches. He has directed over 70 productions at various stages, including the National Theatre, Divadlo Na zábradlí, and HaDivadlo, and has received the Theatre Critics' Award several times for his work.
