Flora

A theatrical investigation into the story of Květoslava Viestová, an Olomouc native and leader of the Bratislava resistance. Pavla Dostálová and Jakub Spišák search for who this "ordinary" housewife truly was - and what the first Olomouc Flora meant.

Despite all available sources, Viestová's life remains full of gaps. The production does not follow a reconstructed narrative, but instead examines individual traces and themes that remain relevant today: the role of women in historical turning points and their often overlooked courage, period chauvinism and persistent stereotypes, the tension between Czechoslovakism and Slovak nationalism.
