What About Petr?
After his wife's sudden death, Petr Jochec finds himself alone with two teenage children - his daughter Vanessa and his son Petr, who has a serious autism spectrum disorder. A father who once spent much time away from home must now manage caring for both children, provide financially for the family, and keep the household running.
The documentary follows the daily struggle of the Jochec family to live a normal life and raises questions about the limits of love and parenthood. It also addresses neglected topics - the social support system and the situation of caregivers.
The film had its world premiere at the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival. It is the second feature film by director Martin Trabalík, who himself worked as a personal assistant for several years.
