Cirk La Putyka - La Putyka

A circus in a half-litre glass - snapshots from an (un)ordinary Czech pub. A love story, a brawl, staggering regulars and a jingling band under the watchful eye of an eccentric innkeeper. Acrobatics, dance, puppets, athletic feats and live music blended into one new-circus glass - a pub fantasy where the laws of physics cease to apply and guests become both witnesses and originators of unexpected acrobatic, musical and movement performances.

Cirk La Putyka grew out of workshops that Rostislav Novák started in 2008. A group of people gathered for whom new circus was truly new - united by enthusiasm and a desire to try different approaches. After months of preparation came the first performances and unexpectedly positive reception, from which an entire ensemble grew on personal and organizational foundations.

The performance lasts 75 minutes, is suitable from age 6, and is performed in Czech. The premiere took place on 20 April 2009.
