Colors of Time

The latest film by French director Cédric Klapisch, known for Erasmus, Dance in My Blood, and Paris, had a successful premiere at the 2025 Cannes International Film Festival.

Thirty members of one large family learn they have inherited a house abandoned for years. Four of them - Seb, Abdel, Céline, and Guy - are tasked with exploring the property. Instead of what they expected, they find a hidden treasure, mysterious photographs, and the name of a woman named Adele, which leads them back to 1895.

The story moves to Paris at the turn of the industrial and cultural revolution, where young Adele left her native Normandy and found herself at the birth of photography and impressionism. The film connects the present with the end of the 19th century and, through family bonds, shows how the past shapes the present.
