Princess Stella wakes up in a different form every day. With only a week until her eighteenth birthday, if she cannot be cured, these transformations will follow her for life. The king, queen, and wise men try every available remedy and method, with marriage offering the last hope.

Along the way, Johan and Stella get to know each other and grow closer, until they finally understand that the only cure for Stella's illness is love and faith in themselves.
