Cactus Flower

Originally a French play by Pierre Barillet and Jean-Pierre Gredy, adapted for American Broadway by I. A. L. Diamond - the screenwriter of the film hit Some Like It Hot. The famous 1969 film won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and numerous other awards.

Dentist Dr. Julian Wiston is having an affair with naive Toni Simmons and wants to marry her - but Toni insists on first meeting his wife. The problem is, he doesn't have one. Julian persuades his uptight colleague, dental assistant Stephanie, to play the role of his wife. From that moment on, a whirlwind of crazy situations unfolds: a handsome writer runs down the hallway in just a towel, gas leaks somewhere, a Spanish seducer arrives, the dentist is chased by sex-hungry ladies, and uptight Stephanie becomes the queen of the disco.
