About: Dagmar Pecková

Dagmar Pecková is a Czech mezzo-soprano who built an international career from the 1990s onwards. She has performed on major opera and concert stages across Europe and beyond, and is particularly noted for her interpretations of Dvořák, Brahms, and Mahler.

About: Jiří Pavlica

Czech violinist, composer and musicologist Jiří Pavlica was born on 1 December 1953 in Uherské Hradiště and has directed the ensemble Hradišťan since 1978. His artistic work draws from Moravian folk heritage while encompassing world music, jazz and sacred compositions - masses, oratorios and string quartets. The 1999 album O slunovratu, featuring poems by Jan Skácel, achieved platinum status and received the Žlutá ponorka critics' award; a collaboration with South African multi-instrumentalist Dizu Plaatjies resulted in the gold-certified album Mys Dobré naděje (2001). Under his artistic direction, Hradišťan has toured four continents and produced over thirty recordings.
