The Centre for Contemporary Art EPO1 presents the exhibition Fresh Power, which maps the motifs and tendencies of the youngest generation of Czech sculptors.

The exhibition draws from the Fresh Power collection, which EPO1 has been building over the long term. It includes artists who graduated from Czech sculpture schools in 2018 or later.

About the venue: Contemporary Art Centre EPO1

EPO1 Centre for Contemporary Art occupies the former Poříčí 1 coal-fired power plant, built in 1912-1914 on the eastern edge of Trutnov. After extensive renovation it opened in May 2023 as the largest private gallery in the Czech Republic, with 3,400 m² of exhibition space. The turbine hall retains its original steel structures and two working overhead cranes that can handle multi-tonne sculptures. The Fresh Power project builds a collection of works by the youngest generation of sculptors, while a permanent exhibition covers the history of the Poříčí power plant.
