Brass instruments are among the most distinctive voices in the orchestra - from ceremonial fanfares through the deep tones of the tuba to the velvety sound of the French horn.

The evening will offer a glimpse into the world of French horns, trumpets, trombones and tubas, and show just how diverse this world truly is.

About the venue: Besední dům

The Neo-Renaissance building on Komenského náměstí was built in 1870-1873 to designs by the Danish-Austrian architect Theophil von Hansen. From its opening it served as the cultural and social hub of Brno's Czech community - Leoš Janáček worked here as choirmaster for twelve years. On 29 October 1918 the founding of Czechoslovakia was proclaimed from its balcony. Today it is home to Filharmonie Brno and hosts symphonic and chamber concerts, balls and conferences.
