Hamnet

When the perpetually hungry schoolteacher William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) meets the wild free-thinker Agnes (Jessie Buckley), a legendary love is born. Together they have three children - two daughters and a son named Hamnet, who dreams of following in his father's footsteps.

William's dramatic talent draws him to London, where he builds his career, while Agnes manages the household alone on what seems like an idyllic English countryside. But in Elizabethan England, misfortune doesn't announce itself - and when tragedy strikes the family, it shakes even their seemingly unbreakable bond.
