About the venue: Jazz Dock

Jazz Dock is a design jazz club opened in 2009 on the banks of the Vltava river in Prague's Smíchov district, opposite Children's Island. It regularly hosts concerts of jazz, funk, soul, blues and world music, as well as its own festivals. The interior was designed by architects Ivan Sládek and Jaroslav Ourecký; a rooftop terrace is open in summer. The venue also includes a bar and restaurant.

Prague-born David Dorůžka ranks among the most respected jazz guitarists in Central Europe - a three-time Anděl Award winner and Berklee alumnus who studied under Joe Lovano and Mick Goodrick. His trio builds its sets around original compositions, though the repertoire stretches from jazz standards and Edvard Grieg to contemporary pop.
