For sixty years, Queen Elizabeth II met privately with each of her twelve Prime Ministers in weekly audiences. From Winston Churchill through Margaret Thatcher to David Cameron, she advised them on matters both public and personal. Peter Morgan's play looks into the life of the woman behind the crown through these encounters, capturing moments that shaped one monarch.

The production was filmed live in London's West End in 2013 and became one of the most-watched NT Live productions. The same story later served as the basis for Netflix's successful series The Crown.
