Lorenzo Masotto - Candlelight Chamber Piano Concert

Take a moment to slow down and simply listen. Italian pianist and composer Lorenzo Masotto returns to Brno following last year's concert at Besední dům, where he was warmly received by the audience. This time, you will hear him differently - in an intimate setting where you can let the music carry you.

The programme features a selection of his work, including pieces from his new album Clinamen. His music moves between neoclassical, ambient and delicate improvisation - shaped by a strong sense of detail, silence and atmosphere, with a gently meditative quality.

The concert takes place at the Community Center on Dominikánská, in the courtyard of the Brno-střed municipal office, where the intimate atmosphere naturally brings the music closer to the listener. The concert will be performed on a Petrof concert grand piano, whose sound will gently weave through and enhance the mood of the evening. By the piano, in candlelight, everything slows down for a moment.

After the concert, there will be an informal gathering and a chance to speak with the artist. You will also be able to purchase CDs and vinyl records. Capacity is limited. The concert is part of the Musical Bridges of Europe project.
