Janek Ledecký's Christmas concert takes place on Friday, 11 December 2026 at the Reduta on Horní náměstí in Olomouc. Ledecký and his band will perform Christmas songs from the album Sliby se maj plnit o Vánocích alongside his greatest hits. The Reduta serves as the home venue of the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc, one of the oldest symphonic orchestras in the Czech Republic, founded in 1945. The concert hall in Empire style opened in 1831 and remains a significant cultural space in the region. This concert is part of an extensive tour across seven Czech cities.

About the venue: Reduta

The Reduta on Horní náměstí (Upper Square) in Olomouc is the home venue of the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc, one of the oldest symphony orchestras in the Czech Republic (founded 1945). The hall was opened in 1831 as part of the Empire-style theatre building and originally served as a ballroom. A major reconstruction in 2001 modernised the acoustics and increased seating to 500. The upper floor houses the Mozart Hall, which serves as a foyer anteroom.

About: Janek Ledecký

Born Jan Ledecký on 27 July 1962 in Prague, Janek Ledecký is a Czech singer, guitarist, composer and lyricist who has maintained an active presence in the domestic music scene for over four decades. During the 1980s, he achieved prominence as the frontman of rock band Žentour before establishing a prolific solo career starting in 1992, which has yielded more than a dozen albums to date. In addition to pop-rock compositions such as "Proklínám" and "Na ptáky jsme krátký", he has created internationally performed musicals, most notably Hamlet, which achieved over 1,400 performances and holds the distinction of being the first Czech musical staged in Japan. His daughter Ester Ledecká is a three-time Olympic gold medalist.
