Janek Ledecký's Christmas concert takes place on 10 December 2026 in Prostějov at the Společenský dům on Komenského street. Ledecký and his band arrive in Prostějov as part of a seven-date Czech tour that includes performances in Hlučín, České Budějovice, Šternberk, Tišnov, Olomouc and other cities. The programme focuses on Christmas songs from the album Sliby se maj plnit o Vánocích and his greatest hits. The Společenský dům is Prostějov's main multipurpose cultural hall with capacity for up to 2,000 guests, regularly hosting concerts, musicals and other cultural events.

About the venue: Společenský dům

The Společenský dům on Komenského street is Prostějov's main multi-purpose venue for cultural and social events. Its large hall holds up to 2,000 people and can be arranged for concerts, balls, theatre performances or conferences. Long-standing traditions include the Hanácký Cup bartending competition and the Zlatá jehla young fashion designers' show. Smaller salons, a foyer, a club room and an anteroom are also available for hire.

About: Janek Ledecký

Born Jan Ledecký on 27 July 1962 in Prague, Janek Ledecký is a Czech singer, guitarist, composer and lyricist who has maintained an active presence in the domestic music scene for over four decades. During the 1980s, he achieved prominence as the frontman of rock band Žentour before establishing a prolific solo career starting in 1992, which has yielded more than a dozen albums to date. In addition to pop-rock compositions such as "Proklínám" and "Na ptáky jsme krátký", he has created internationally performed musicals, most notably Hamlet, which achieved over 1,400 performances and holds the distinction of being the first Czech musical staged in Japan. His daughter Ester Ledecká is a three-time Olympic gold medalist.
