The family musical Aladdin and the Magic Lamp comes to Chomutov on Friday, 9 October 2026 at the Městské divadlo. This representative building from 1905, designed in Neo-Renaissance style with Art Nouveau elements, stands in a municipal park and features richly decorated interiors with ornate plasterwork. The production promises a grand stage, music and magic for children and adults who will journey into the world of One Thousand and One Nights. This is one of two Czech dates on the tour - the second performance takes place in November in Příbram.

About the venue: Municipal Theatre

Chomutov's Municipal Theatre is a representative Neo-Renaissance building with Art Nouveau elements, erected in 1905 in the city park. Its symmetrical façade is flanked by two projecting towers, while the interiors feature elaborate stucco decoration and ornate cast-iron details. The venue hosts theatre performances for children and adults, concerts, balls, and other cultural events. The main hall seats 500, a smaller hall 100, and a banquet salon 60–80 guests.
