Beyond the Frame – Exhibition of Tomáš Vincenec

Tomáš Vincenec, a Prostějov-based painter, writer, illustrator, and film graphic designer with a distinctive artistic voice, captures the genius loci of Prostějov through drawings, watercolors, and compelling oils. The exhibition "Beyond the Frame" with the subtitle painting, drawings, documents, books reveals the breadth of his work and his unique perspective on the city. Vincenec's art is influenced by Surrealism and interwar Expressionism – on one hand the gentle humor of Magritte, on the other the sweeping gestures of Oskar Kokoschka. His publications include "A Gazetteer of Prostějov Pubs and Clubhouses 1900–2000", "The Unassuming Charm of Prostějov Industry", and "Prostějov Architecture 1918–1948". The exhibition takes place in the Prostějov Castle on Pernštýn Square. Exhibition hours: Tuesday–Friday 14:00–17:00, Saturday–Sunday 10:00–18:00.
