An Actor at Home, a Cane in Hand

A famous actor played by Petr Rychlý unexpectedly collapses on stage. As a result, his fellow actor and best friend arranges for a theatre prompter to care for him at home - a prompter who happens to be in love with our hero. But there's more: the actor begins to transform daily into one of the characters from famous playwrights. The prompter's care is hardly to the liking of the actor's rather neglectful and busy mother. Will the mother assert herself, or the friend? Which of the actor's alter egos will ultimately prevail? And will there be a happy ending?
