Petr Tomeček's Christmas concert takes place on Saturday, 19 December 2026 in Betlémská kaple in Prague. The historic chapel on Betlémské náměstí, founded in 1391 as Europe's first preaching church designated for sermons in Czech, will host traditional and contemporary Christmas compositions. The programme features the Pan flute, live orchestra, children's choir and dancers. Tomeček's Czech tour spans nine cities across the year - from summer performances in Blansko through autumn dates in Kroměříž, České Budějovice and Cheb, concluding with this December concert in Prague.

About the venue: Betlémská kaple

Bethlehem Chapel on Betlémské náměstí in Prague 1 is a national cultural monument and the first preaching church in Europe. It was founded in 1391 specifically for sermons in Czech; Jan Hus preached here from 1402 to 1413. After being demolished in 1786, architect Jaroslav Fragner rebuilt it between 1950 and 1954 using surviving plans and wall fragments. The chapel is now owned by the Czech Technical University (ČVUT), which uses it as a ceremonial hall for graduations; outside those events it is open to visitors, together with the adjacent Preachers' House.
