Picasso Life – Exhibition at Kláštery Český Krumlov

The Picasso Life – The Artist and the Man exhibition presents Pablo Picasso as one of the most significant artists of the 20th century and an icon of Cubism, not only through his work but also through his personal story. The exhibition includes over 100 original works: prints, lithographs, drawings, oil paintings, ceramics, and photographs from the master's personal life. Documentary materials and films are featured, offering insights into Picasso's personality and artistic development, as well as a collection of posters from galleries and exhibitions from around the world. For the first time in the Czech Republic, the exhibition presents a unique Cubist still life (1912–1914) from the collection of the legendary collector Dr. Fritz Nathan – the ceremonial opening of this work took place on June 4, 2025. The exhibition is part of the open collection The World of Picasso, which evolves over time. The exhibition is held in the Gallery of Kláštery Český Krumlov (Klášterní dvůr 97), in the historic area of the former Convent of the Poor Clares, approximately 250 m from the castle. Open daily 10:30–18:00. The exhibition runs until April 9, 2026.
