Summer Exhibition Cycle at EPO1 in Trutnov — Contemporary Art Centre EPO1, Trutnov

The summer cycle at the Center for Contemporary Art EPO1 in Trutnov presents three major projects from May 22, 2026. The exhibition Neokosmos by Pavel Holeček transforms the Turbine Hall into an imaginary planet filled with kinetic, sound, and light installations that connect technology, space, and the viewer's perception.

About the venue: Contemporary Art Centre EPO1

EPO1 Centre for Contemporary Art occupies the former Poříčí 1 coal-fired power plant, built in 1912-1914 on the eastern edge of Trutnov. After extensive renovation it opened in May 2023 as the largest private gallery in the Czech Republic, with 3,400 m² of exhibition space. The turbine hall retains its original steel structures and two working overhead cranes that can handle multi-tonne sculptures. The Fresh Power project builds a collection of works by the youngest generation of sculptors, while a permanent exhibition covers the history of the Poříčí power plant.
