The 29th International Folklore Festival Frýdek-Místek will take place from 16 to 21 June 2026. This prestigious international festival under UNESCO patronage brings leading folklore ensembles from around the world and the Czech Republic to Frýdek-Místek.

About the venue: DFS Ostravička z.s.

DFS Ostravička is a children's folklore ensemble from Frýdek-Místek, bringing together children from the age of 5 alongside its own cimbalom music group. The ensemble is the main organiser of the International Folklore Festival CIOFF/IOV in Frýdek-Místek, inviting 6-7 foreign ensembles from around the world each year. It performs at local festivals and abroad - over its history it has toured more than 20 European countries as well as Turkey, Morocco, Brazil, Mexico, Taiwan and China. The ensemble is financially supported by the City of Frýdek-Místek.
