The firehouse of the Prostřední Lánov volunteer fire brigade serves as both the base for the local response unit and a venue for community events. The brigade regularly organises its annual firemen's ball and other local gatherings here. With over 40 members, it also takes part in youth firefighting competitions across the Giant Mountains region.
