Katta: Vox Organi
Poutní místo Tři kříže, Nové Město na Moravě · from 300 Kč · ≈ 12 €
Katta will perform at the pilgrimage site Tři kříže with the programme Vox Organi - the voice of the organ in open-air locations. The artist plays white organs built to measure by Czech company Shan, created by Eduard Toman: a lightweight construction allowing easy transport, with Hauptwerk software using samples of rare instruments from various countries and historical periods - made available to Katta by Jiří Žůrek from the Sonus Paradisi project, which records and documents original organs worldwide.
The concert will feature compositions from the album Vox Organi (The Voice of the Organ), released in May on the Emika Records label. The album consists of instrumental Meditations recorded on mechanical organs in the Prague evangelical church U Salvátora - all sounds come exclusively from this instrument, without electronic processing - and vocal compositions set to old spiritual texts and prayers. In addition to solo organ playing, Katta's singing will also be heard.
In case of bad weather, the event will move to KD NMnM. At Tři kříže there will be only very limited seating - bring your own blankets and folding chairs.
