Ostrava will host the prestigious Men's and Women's Floorball World Championship from 20 to 28 June 2026. The world championship will feature 12 men's and 6 women's teams from around the globe.

The Czech-Moravian Ball Hockey Association (ČMSHb) is the national governing body for ball hockey in the Czech Republic. It was one of the founding members of the international federation ISBHF in 1993. The association runs all national competitions - from the Extraliga and 1st League to the Women's League and Czech Cup - and oversees seven regional associations. In 2026 it is hosting the men's and women's World Championship in Ostrava.
