The string duo B&D Strings featuring Alžběta Falcníková performs on Monday, 29 June 2026 at 18:00 in the Church of St. Martin in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm. The concert is part of the International Music Festival Hudba v chrámech and presents works from the Baroque to contemporary music. The Church of St. Martin is a Baroque building completed in 1680, located in the historic centre of the town. About the venue: Churches of St. Martin and St. John the Baptist

The Roman Catholic parish of Frenštát pod Radhoštěm administers two historic churches. The parish church of St. Martin (the so-called lower church) was completed in 1680 on the site of an older church that burned down in 1661; it is a baroque single-nave building with an onion-domed tower, decorated with a triptych of the Wallachian Madonna by Adolf Liebscher and a Wallachian Nativity Scene by Jan Knebl. The filial church of St. John the Baptist (the so-called upper church) dates from 1640, with its tower completed in 1780; the interior features neo-Gothic furnishings from an 1891 re-Gothicization, and the church is a state-listed cultural monument.
