BODYVOICEBAND: Love, Defiance and Death
from 400 Kč · ≈ 17 €
"The heart burned, burned with flame. And when it burned out, it turned to stone." The production Love, Defiance and Death is a montage of folk poetry, originally prepared by E. F. Burian in collaboration with František Halas at its premiere. Beneath the apparent fragility of folk texts lies a powerful story reminiscent of the medieval play Everyman.
BodyVoiceBand under the direction of Jaroslava Šiktancová continues with this production its previous work — the adaptation of the medieval text Everyman and the musical-dramatic composition War by Emil František Burian — and reopens a dialogue with the author to whom it has referred throughout its existence. The production was created with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the City of Prague.
