Karlovarské městské divadlo (Karlovy Vary City Theatre) is a neo-rococo building from 1886, designed by Viennese architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer, located on Divadelní náměstí. Its interior features a hand-painted curtain and frescoes by the Klimt brothers and Franz Matsch. The theatre stages drama, opera and Czech premieres, and serves as the home venue of the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra. It regularly co-produces shows with the West Bohemian Theatre in Cheb.

Warsaw accordionist Robert Kuśmierski has been Jaromír Nohavica's long-standing stage partner - his accordion and piano lift the bard's songs into the space between folk and chanson. Beyond the Nohavica collaboration, he has released a solo album and plays in the klezmer ensemble Klezmersi.
