Pavel Plánka (born 1962 in Plzeň) is a Czech drummer and percussionist who trained at the Prague State Conservatory under Professor Miloš Veselý. Over several decades he has been one of the most sought-after session and touring musicians in Czech popular music, working with Jaromír Nohavica, the band Lucie, Daniel Hůlka, Lucie Bílá, Karel Gott and many others. Alongside his stage work he also performs solo sound-painting sets, using an array of metal percussion instruments as a meditative sound experience.
