Jan Budař is one of the most distinctive figures in Czech culture. An actor, musician and storyteller who in his intimate solo performance with piano weaves together original songs, chanson, humour and personal stories.

About the venue: Contemporary Art Centre EPO1

EPO1 Centre for Contemporary Art occupies the former Poříčí 1 coal-fired power plant, built in 1912-1914 on the eastern edge of Trutnov. After extensive renovation it opened in May 2023 as the largest private gallery in the Czech Republic, with 3,400 m² of exhibition space. The turbine hall retains its original steel structures and two working overhead cranes that can handle multi-tonne sculptures. The Fresh Power project builds a collection of works by the youngest generation of sculptors, while a permanent exhibition covers the history of the Poříčí power plant.
