🎤 About: Martin Grech

Martin Grech is a Maltese-English singer, songwriter and musician from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. He rose to prominence with his debut album Open Heart Zoo (2002) on Island Records, praised for its distinctive falsetto vocals and eclectic blend of rock, classical and operatic elements. He has also composed film scores, including for Blood River (2009) and Luster (2011).

Jana Mudráková is a Czech puppet actress and performer who has been part of the Spejbl and Hurvínek Theatre since 2022, voicing the characters Mánička and paní Kateřina. She trained in music and drama at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and has appeared in numerous theatres, including the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre. Her skills span singing, classical and modern dance, tap dance, and musical instruments.

Matěj Kopecký (1775–1847) was a legendary Czech travelling puppeteer, widely regarded as the patriarch of Czech puppetry. Born near Hradec Králové, he is credited with introducing the Kašpárek (Punch-like) character to Czech puppet theatre. His name became a symbol of the entire tradition of itinerant Czech puppetry, now inscribed on the UNESCO heritage list.

Michal Barták is a Czech puppeteer at the Spejbl and Hurvínek Theatre in Prague, where he has operated Hurvínek and other marionettes since 1990. He previously worked at the Malé divadlo in České Budějovice. He is also involved in the 2026 animated film Hurvínkova cesta do Tramtárie.

Zita Morávková is a Czech actress born in 1971 in Kolín. She studied alternative and puppet theatre at DAMU and worked at Dejvické divadlo and Divadlo Lampion in Kladno. She is a member of the Spejbl and Hurvínek Theatre, where she voices characters including the dog Žeryk. Her film credits include Innocence and Pravidla lži.
