Delights and Pitfalls of Translating and Calligraphing Japanese Poetry

A lecture on the Czech tradition of translating Japanese poetry over the past century, featuring examples from the works of Petr Geisler. The lecture will be led by Helena Honcoopová, a leading Czech Japanologist, translator, and historian of Japanese art, together with Ester Geislerová and Felix Geisler.
