A documentary portrait exploring the life of Japanologist and calligrapher Petr Geisler through his daughter's eyes, set against the backdrop of normalization-era Czechoslovakia and 1980s Tokyo.
Petr Geisler (1949–2009) was a Czech Japanologist, translator, journalist, calligrapher, photographer and teacher. A self-taught artist, he created original ink works rooted in Japanese script and made a significant contribution to Czech-Japanese cultural relations. His work was presented posthumously in the comprehensive exhibition GA-I-SU-RA at the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Prague.
